Yes — Broken Clover accepts walk-ins when availability allows. Walk-in availability depends on artist schedules, existing appointments, and same-day traffic. Because weekends are our busiest days, walk-in availability cannot be predicted in advance. See our walk-in tattoo information.
If you want to guarantee a time slot, we recommend booking an appointment.

We cannot accurately predict walk-in availability for future days. Walk-in traffic changes constantly and depends on staffing and appointment volume. If your schedule is important, booking an appointment is the best option.

Our shop minimum is $60. This covers professional setup, sterile equipment, artist time, and supplies required for every tattoo.

Tattoos placed above the collar, below the wrist or ankle, or in bathing suit areas typically require additional time, privacy setup, and positioning. Because of this, pricing may be higher for these placements. They also tend to need a second session and we don’t charge for touch-ups, we just tax a little up front.

Tattoo prices vary based on the size, placement, detail, and artist. Because every design is different, we need to see your idea before giving an accurate quote. Clean your piercing with sterile saline solution twice per day, or anytime you notice buildup. Avoid twisting, rotating, or moving the jewelry while cleaning.

After cleaning, gently pat your piercing dry using a clean paper towel. Avoid leaving moisture on the area. Wet hair should not sit against fresh piercings.

Downsizing is recommended after the initial swelling goes down, typically between 6–8 weeks. Proper downsizing helps reduce irritation, prevent migration, and improve long-term healing. Jewelry downsizing should be done professionally.

Signs that your piercing may be healed include:

  • No redness
  • No swelling
  • No pain when bumped or touched

Keep in mind that piercings heal from the outside inward, meaning they may appear healed on the surface before the internal tissue is fully healed.

No. Avoid changing jewelry until the piercing is fully healed. Early jewelry changes increase the risk of irritation, swelling, and infection.

During healing, avoid:

  • Sleeping directly on your new piercing
  • Applying makeup, oils, ointments, alcohol, or hydrogen peroxide
  • Submerging piercings in pools, lakes, hot tubs, or baths
  • Touching your piercing with unwashed hands

Yes. Mild irritation is common and is often mistaken for infection. If you experience irritation, increase saline cleaning and avoid touching or moving the jewelry. Contact Broken Clover if you have concerns.

Signs of infection may include:

  • Sudden or worsening swelling
  • Red or hot tissue around the piercing
  • Thick discolored discharge
  • Persistent bleeding

If you suspect infection, seek medical attention immediately.

Healing times vary by placement and person. General guidelines include:

  • 3–6 months: Earlobes, lip, eyebrow, tongue, septum
  • 6–9 months: Cartilage (helix, tragus, conch, daith, rook), nostrils, nipples, navels

These are average healing ranges and may vary.

Yes. Every piercing at Broken Clover Tattoo & Piercing includes personalized aftercare instructions and access to professional guidance throughout the healing process. We also offer NeilMed Piercing Aftercare (sterilize saline wound wash) for sale on site for $12+tax.

Wash your tattoo gently with clean hands using fragrance-free soap and lukewarm water. Pat dry with a clean paper towel. Clean your tattoo 2–3 times per day during the first week.

After cleaning and drying, apply a thin layer of fragrance-free tattoo aftercare lotion. Do not over-apply. Your tattoo should never appear shiny or greasy. If its shiny, its too wet. You’re practically removing the moisturizer right after you apply it.

Most tattoos heal on the surface within 2–3 weeks, while deeper skin layers continue healing for several weeks. Proper tattoo aftercare helps prevent fading and irritation. We must wait at least 6 weeks before a new layer of ink or a touch up can be applied.

Yes. Peeling, flaking, and itching are normal parts of the tattoo healing process. Do not scratch or pick at scabs, as this can damage the tattoo.

Avoid the following while healing:

  • Swimming or soaking (pools, hot tubs, baths, lakes)
  • Direct sun exposure
  • Tight or abrasive clothing
  • Heavy sweating or intense workouts
  • Picking or scratching the tattoo

Some tattoos may be wrapped with protective bandage film initially. Follow your artist’s specific instructions. Do not rewrap unless directed.
